Not every pet needs the same meal size.
This service is designed for healthy adult dogs and cats with no chronic medical conditions or health concerns requiring therapeutic nutrition. We estimate your pet’s daily energy needs based on their weight, age, activity level, Body Condition Score (BCS), and Muscle Condition Score (MCS), then convert those needs into the appropriate daily portion in grams for each selected Trappy Bites recipe based on its individual calorie density.
Because each recipe contains a different number of calories, your pet may need, for example, 350 g of Chicken, 300 g of Beef, and a different amount of Duck or Rabbit, even though their daily energy requirement remains the same.
What does the service include?
The service includes a review of your pet’s current feeding history, assessment of their Body Condition Score (BCS) and Muscle Condition Score (MCS), estimation of their daily energy requirements, and determination of the appropriate feeding goal, whether that is maintaining their current weight, gradual weight loss, or controlled weight gain.
You will also receive:
- The recommended daily portion in grams for each selected Trappy Bites recipe.
- A calorie allocation for meals and treats.
- A recommended daily treat allowance.
- Recommendations for meal frequency and how to divide the daily portion.
- A gradual transition guide to Trappy Bites meals.
- The right to request customized meal pack sizes at no additional portioning or packaging cost for 12 months from the date your plan is issued.
12-Month Custom Portion Size Benefit
Trappy Bites standard meal sizes are:
- 600 g for dog meals
- 150 g for cat meals
When you purchase this service, you may request your pet’s meals to be packed according to the recommended portion size stated in their plan, with no additional portioning or packaging fees for 12 months.
For example, if your pet’s plan recommends a 300 g portion, we can prepare the meal directly in a 300 g pack without charging the additional fee that would normally apply when splitting a standard-sized meal.
Customers without an active plan who request that a standard meal be divided into smaller packs will be charged an additional packaging fee of SAR 1.5 for each extra pack created.
The 12-month custom-size benefit covers portioning and additional packaging fees only. The cost of the meals themselves is not included.
Who is this service suitable for?
This service is suitable for healthy adult dogs and cats that need to:
- Maintain an ideal body weight.
- Lose weight gradually and in a controlled manner.
- Gain weight based on a calculated feeding target.
- Adjust food intake due to changes in activity level or lifestyle.
- Know the appropriate amount of each recipe rather than relying on one standard portion size for every pet.
Who is this service not suitable for?
This service is not intended for pets with a diagnosed medical condition, ongoing or unexplained symptoms, or health concerns requiring therapeutic nutrition.
It is also not intended for puppies, kittens, pregnant pets, or lactating pets unless they are assessed through a feeding plan specifically designed for those life stages.
If the information provided in the questionnaire indicates a health concern requiring veterinary evaluation or therapeutic nutritional management, Trappy Bites reserves the right to pause preparation of the plan and recommend a more appropriate service.
What happens after purchase?
After completing your order, you will receive a questionnaire requesting the necessary health, lifestyle, and feeding information.
Once the completed questionnaire has been reviewed, your written feeding plan will be provided within 24–48 hours.
Your plan will include your pet’s estimated daily energy requirement, recommended portion for each selected recipe, suggested meal distribution, and daily treat allowance.
Important Notice
Nutritional requirements are calculated based on the information provided in the questionnaire. Please provide your pet’s weight, health status, activity level, and feeding history as accurately as possible.
The recommendations provided are intended as a starting point and should be reassessed according to changes in your pet’s weight, Body Condition Score (BCS), Muscle Condition Score (MCS), activity level, and individual response.
The 12-month validity period applies specifically to the custom meal-size benefit with no additional portioning fees. It does not mean that the same feeding amount will remain appropriate for the entire 12 months if your pet’s weight, activity level, or health status changes.
